Known as Prophets City, Congonhas is another historic
city in Minas Gerais. The sanctuary of Bom Jesus and
the works of art made by Antonio Francisco Lisboa (Know
as Aleijadinho) are recognized by Unesco as world Heritage
Site.
Aleijadinho or “Little Cripple” carved
twelve prophects in soap stone, it is the church
terrace, he also carved images in cedar wood. It
is distributed in six chapels which represent the
Stations oh the Cioss.
The baroque architecture remind us the golden time
from “Gold Cycle” (with beautiful churches
and houses)
